Adam Wesley and his friends, fresh from high school, plan a carefree summer but are thrust into a fight for survival after encountering a reconnaissance robot. One friend is gravely injured, and upon returning to their city, they find it under martial law with bots everywhere. Teaming up with Skip, a brilliant hacker, they take refuge in The Nest, a tech hideout. Using old-school technology, they begin to organize and unwittingly plant the seeds of a resistance against the bots, setting the stage for a struggle more significant than they ever imagined.
