She shook her head at the glimmer of emotion. It must be the hormones coursing through her body. It made her fragile and she would not tolerate such weakness. She would get rid of it as soon as she finished the mission. Her father would have cursed and beaten her for becoming pregnant by a Westerner, rather than someone of royal Egyptian blood. He would have called her a whore and banished her until the child was born. She would have been a liability, someone who needed protection, instead of an asset who could fight.
