What if you grew up in an orphanage and you were given the opportunity to travel on an orphan train in hopes of a forever family?
Serena grew up in an orphanage in New York. When she was twelve years old, she was able to be adopted by a family that runs a bakery in a small town in Texas in exchange for her help with their younger children.
Thinking that this was going to be her only opportunity to find a family, Serena accepts their terms. Nine years later, Serena’s good friend Anna encourages her to become a mail-order bride to her husband’s younger brother. Will Serena see that she really is of worth, not only to her new husband but also to the family who had adopted her?
