Little Wizard Stories of Oz is a collection of six short stories by L. Frank Baum, the author of the "Oz" series. The stories are set in the magical land of Oz and feature some of the familiar characters from the series, including the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and Princess Ozma. The first story, "The Cowardly Lion and the Hungry Tiger," follows the two friends as they search for food in the forest. They come across a field of giant pumpkins, but when they try to eat them, they discover that the pumpkins are actually homes for the gnomes of Oz. The second story, "Little Dorothy and Toto," sees Dorothy and her loyal dog Toto trying to find their way back to Kansas. They encounter a friendly butterfly named Flutterbudget, who helps them on their journey. In "Tik-Tok and the Nome King," the mechanical man Tik-Tok faces off against the evil Nome King, who has stolen all the emeralds in Oz. With the help of Princess Ozma, Tik-Tok is able to defeat the Nome King and restore the emeralds to their rightful owners. "The Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman" tells the story of the two friends as they try to rescue a group of fairies who have been captured by an evil witch. With their quick thinking and bravery, the Scarecrow and the Tin Woodman are able to outsmart the witch and free the fairies. In "Ozma and the Little Wizard," Princess Ozma and the Little Wizard set out on a quest to find the missing magic picture that hangs in the palace. They encounter many challenges along the way, but they are ultimately successful in their mission. The final story, "Jack Pumpkinhead and the Sawhorse," sees Jack Pumpkinhead and the Sawhorse trying to save the land of Oz from an invasion of giant bees. With the help of some quick thinking and teamwork, they are able to save the day. Overall, "Little Wizard Stories of Oz" is a charming collection of short tales that capture the whimsy and wonder of Baum's beloved Oz series. The stories are perfect for young readers or anyone who loves the magical world of Oz.
