Una ragazza, stanca di vivere in una piccola realtà della Sardegna e degli atteggiamenti autoritari del padre, decide di andar via di casa. Trova lavoro in Germania e lì, attraverso una ricerca sul computer della famiglia che la ospita, scopre un passato doloroso del padre e della signora presso cui lavora. Tale scoperta le consente di rivalutare la figura del padre e, con l’aiuto della signora Ruth, tornare al suo paese e riconciliarsi con la sua famiglia senza rinunciare alla sua libertà.
