At dawn, Kai and the alien Aris confront coordinated shadow-creatures in a misty forest clearing. Though terrified, Kai learns to observe their attack patterns and work in sync with Aris’s energy shields. As the predators adapt, so does he, using timing and terrain to turn the tide. When a powerful leader emerges, Kai stays calm, helping Aris strike decisively and drive the shadows back. Victorious but wary, Kai realizes survival means adaptation and trust. United, they head south to prepare for greater threats ahead.
