The everstream is the source of all life. Birds, beasts, and all flora. Man, as history will prove, is curious. Ambitious. Man learned to harness the power of the everstream by siphoning it from the living and wielding it as a tool, and often, as a weapon. Even in the civilized world, where rules and regulations govern all things, the everstream exists to bind the mandates proferred by man. Disputes between citizens, both domestic and foreign, are brought before the courts and settled in the arena. Power decides the victor, and oftentimes, money makes for power.
