This series is a travelogue for new or experienced SCUBA divers. Chapter one describes my first saltwater dive, which was also my certification dive required to make me an officially recognized open water diver. I wrote this diary to shine a light on my mistakes as I continued to improve as a diver. The intent being that showing my mistakes and what I learned from them might mean that other divers would not make those same mistakes. I also wanted to illustrate the places I have been while diving, and the beautiful spiritual experience diving can be.
