Would you kill for a million dollars?
Haunted by nightmares after the death of his wife, John Hayes attempts to start a new life in Hong Kong. But the excitement and glamour of the city soon wears off and he finds himself deep in a rut.
Until the day he finds a million dollars in his bank account!
It could change his life forever, but… it comes with dangerous strings attached.
Once again he is tested. Should he keep the money, break the law and potentially turn his life around, or should he give it all up and continue with his unhappy depressing existence?
Just how far is John willing to go?
I've been a reader since childhood—sneaking books into class, reading by torchlight, always chasing adventure. In middle age, stuck in a Hong Kong office, I questioned the monotony of emails and sales calls. On a whim, I wrote a book—fast-paced, action-packed—creating John Hayes. Holding that finished book was life-changing. I soon left the corporate world. Born in Cyprus, raised in New Zealand, I've lived abroad most of my life, drawing inspiration from my travels. My characters fight injustice in stunning locales. View all by Mark David Abbott
